I remember going out to Ted and Jeanette’s farm many times over the years, sometimes to help my older sisters babysit, sometimes to give Jeanette a little help around the house. It is the last two times I saw her that I hold dear in my memory…the first is when I visited her in her apt in Carroll, and we drove through Halbur while she updated me on The coming and goings of residents…the second is when I visited her at St. Anthony’s in 2015. Although I was saddened by her illness, I was very happy that she was able to remember my parents (Harold and Cleo Trecker),and then to be able to sit by her side while she slept peacefully. It was an honor for me.I always respected her strength and kindness. She will be missed, but I am sure she is happy with Jesus and Ted in heaven.
