Gene was always like a second father to me. I always enjoyed visiting with him as he told his golfing stories and could describe a play in detail made by the Hawkeyes. As a high school kid, he included me in helping to “build” his Iowa Hawkeye fan. The Iowa Hawkeyes lost a true fan! I lost a tue friend and second father! God Bless!
