Marian was so kind and generous to our mother, Irene Vasos when she visited her in the Carroll nursing home. We got to know her better then and when Mom died we had the great, good honor of continuing a great, loving relationship with Marian. My sisters and I would go to the Swizzle Stick with her. Her last words to me over the phone were “I wish we could meet at the Swizzle Stick but looks like it will have to be Heaven.” I will miss her down to earth connection with life and the many visits, letters and phone calls we shared over the years. She was one of a kind and knew the secret of loving and caring.Thank you for sharing your life with us and for connecting me with Nancy, Mary and Jane. And for inviting me to the Schmiz Sunday brunch at Clair and Leona’s when my mom was dying and I was alone in Carroll. I hold you close in my heart. Judy
