I remember Aunt Arlene as such a sweet and patient lady who at all the family reunions tried to calm the chaos of those large gatherings. Later when I came back to Carroll for visits she and Joe would ask about my career and offer support. I remember what a loving and attentive caregiver she was when Joe was ill. She made a point of visiting my mother when she moved to assisted living then skilled care, and often in the hospital. She lifted up all those she met.
