What a wonderful family! The Berkley family was so lucky to have them as neighbors in Denison Iowa, many years ago.Frances was a caring, creative Mother. My family experienced sadness when my 5 year of brother died. Francis and Walt were right there with their support. My sister, Barbara lived with them for months while Mom was in Sioux City with Stevie. I went to another families home to stay. Hans, Nick and Stevie were best buds! Years after they moved, Frances would always stop to see Dad and Mom. I have to admit the only thing I have ever taken, that didn’t belong to me, was a beautiful button from Frances sewing box. I never told Mom, as I knew she’d make me take it back with my apologies! So sorry, Frances! She was such an elegant, loving person.
