I remember the day Tom joined my classroom at St Lawrence. We took attendance by saying our names and what day our birthday was. Since we were seated in alphabetical order and my last name began with a “C”, I said my name and that my birthday was December 5th. Tom shouted out, “my birthday is December 5th!” From that day on, he started a little competition with me to see who could wish the other happy birthday first. Then and over the years, I always looked forward to sharing a birthday wish with Tom. It brought me such joy!
Tom only had friends. His beautiful eyes, smile infectious and robust laugh automatically drew people to him. He never knew a stranger!
A genuine kind soul! RIP, my dear friend.
Until we meet another day…❤️😇
