Madeline was the older cousin who acted like a big sister when she would babysit with me, John, and Marilyn! We looked forward to having her come and stay! That is my first and lasting memory of Madeline! But throughout the years when we were at family events she was always smiling . . . and extremely funny! Her intelligence easily came through from her comments, jokes, . . . and appropriate insults!!
One fun memory from a later time was attending the wedding reception of Wally and Madeline at her parent’s place. Everyone was having a good time and it turns out her brother Mike and i were seniors in high school. And both of us were allowed to have a drink with the family. And it wasn’t milk or Kool-Aid! So Madeline and Wally” wedding reception was not only a right of passage for them, it was for Mike and me also! Great memory!
Madeline made her mark in this life and touched many people. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. I think that is the highest compliment and testimony of her life. Jane and I send our deepest sympathies to you, Jeff, Mark and your families. God Bless you all.
