Bill, son of George and Edythe (Bunch) Peters was born on November 2nd, 1952 in Sioux City Iowa. He graduated from Central High School in 1971 and from there began working at Swift & Co packing house until it’s closing in 1984. He immediately began working at Hy- Vee Food Store in Sioux City, transferring to Carroll Hy- Vee in 1987. Bill retired from Hy-Vee in 2018.
Bill was united in marriage to the love of his life Kathleen (Kathi) Blundell- Mulloy on May 31st 1975 at Riverside Lutheran Church in Sioux City. Together they have 3 children, Ami, Jeff, and Cory. Bill was completely devoted to his family as they have always been the center of his world. Nothing meant more to him than his wife, children and grandchildren.
Since his retirement Bill has enjoyed playing golf well into late fall or early winter, getting his first hole in one in July of 2022, playing pool thru the winters, fishing when “they were biting” and making an “occasional” trip to the casino. He loved watching his grandchildren’s sporting events and was often the loudest Grandpa in the bleachers. He also rooted loudly at home for his grandchildren that lived out of the area when he would see videos that were sent via email. He would watch them over and over, his reaction being the same as seeing them for the first time.
Bill is survived by his wife of 47 years Kathi, daughter Ami (Dean) Onken of Carroll, sons Jeff( Carol) Peters of Georgetown Tx, Cory (Heidi) Peters of Cornelius, North Carolina. 10 Grandchildren, Grant Sanders, Kent Sanders, Will Sanders, Reese Peters, Jacob Peters, Lilah Peters, Christian Peters, Jude Peters, Eleanor Peters and Genevieve Peters.
