Father Brodersen was such a amazing Priest and person. He was always such a people person and great with all ages of people. He made sure people felt comfortable during marriage counseling, parish council meetings, Mass, etc. We sent each other Christmas cards for years after he transferred from our parish. He was so proud of his dog too. I have wonderful memories of Ft. Brodersen and will miss him. God bless.

🎶I have been so blessed to have worked with Priests at St. Cecelia’s Algona who love music….Father Steve was no exception. As a music minister, I have received gifts at Christmas from my Pastors and still carry my music in a black gift bag (with white baby grand pianos on it) that Father Steve gave to me many years ago…… and safety pinned inside is the grateful note he wrote to me…..I can just hear him playing a Golden Baby Grand and his relatives and friends, the Angels and Saints singing along to one of his favorite hymns. Farewell, Father. May you rest in Peace! 🎶 Grateful for you! Ellen Gatton

I knew Father Steve when he was serving Halbur, Templeton, and Roselle as I was teaching at Holy Trinity in Templeton.I found him to be always concerned about the teachers and very encouraging for the things we were doing in our classes.I live in Manning and hadn't heard that he had cancer so I was very surprised when I heard he had died.My sympathy goes out to you, his family. He was a fine priest, a fine leader for our Catholic school, and just a pleasant person to work with.He will be remembered. Sincerely, Sally Hodne
