Father Macke was like a dear uncle to me. I got to spend summers with him and his caretaker , my awesome aunt SUE!! I loved helping with the cooking , getting mass set up , going golfing ( he always let me drive the golf cart!) we would watch basketball together and so many good times, even now with my 5 year old – he would always let her play with his cane and always had a mint to offer from his pocket ( the best thing ever for her!) I’ve been blessed to have known him my whole life – over the summer we spent a full week in Branson together and he told me stories of the past . He also attended my wedding in Omaha Oct 3rd and he was all smiles 🙂 He was a awesome guy and had a great life – my wonderful aunt Sue gave him the best care , cooked the best food , had his laundry always pressed and fancy , was his confident and best friend – she dedicated her life to serving him. I will miss Father Macke 🙂
