I’m very sorry for your loss, Dorothy was such a sweet lady. She was a good bingo buddy for my Mom (Delores Determan), as they went to play bingo practically every Tuesday night in Denison. I often drove them when I was staying with Mom through the winters of ’13 & ’14.
I remember Dorothy going through a really bad streak (not winning anything!) and she was telling us how unlucky she felt. When we got to her house to drop her off, I asked her if she had any of the wonderful banana bread she often spoke about?! She said she did and went inside to get me a loaf.
Well, just like a miracle had happened, the very next week Dorothy won 5 BINGOS (which BTW, I have never seen happen before). She was so happy she didn’t hardly say a word all the way back to Carroll. God is good!
