Isabelle Reising, age 82, of Carroll, Iowa, died Sunday evening, January 25, 2009, at Regency Park Nursing Home in Carroll. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, January 29, 2009, at St. Lawrence Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Father Timothy Schott. Lector will be Ray Reineke. Gift Bearers will be Mary Bernholtz and Richard and Mary Reineke. Eucharistic Ministers will be Janice Reineke and Russ and Jackie Reineke. Casket Bearers will be Russ Reineke, Ray Reineke, Cindy Baudler, John Bernholtz, Melvin Booth, and Frank O’Tool. Graveside Services will be held at 1 P.M. Thursday at St. Bernard Cemetery in Breda. Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 4:30 P.M. Wednesday. A rosary will be prayed at 5 P.M. Wednesday. There will be a Christian wake service at 6 P.M. Wednesday by St. Lawrence Parish. Mrs. Reising was born on November 1, 1926, at Dedham, Iowa, the daughter of John F. and Anna (Muhr) Lengel. She spent her younger years in the Dedham and Coon Rapids communities and attended Annunciation Catholic School and graduated from Coon Rapids High School. On August 12, 1947, she was married to Michael J. Reising at Annunciation Catholic Church in Coon Rapids. The couple farmed west of Breda and following her husband’s death in September 1981 Mrs. Reising moved to Carroll. She had been employed as a nurses aid at St. Anthony Regional Hospital for fifteen years and also operated Izzy’s Crafts, traveling to many craft shows. She was a member of St. Lawrence Parish and Parish Ladies Guild. Mrs. Reising enjoyed crafts, playing cards, bowling, and going to casino’s. Survivors include her sister, Otillia “Tillie” Reineke of Carroll; a sister-in-law, Rosina O’Tool of Carroll; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Angeline Booth; and a brother, William Lengel.
