Stan Haberl, age 44 of Maple River, died on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at his residence in Maple River.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2012 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Timothy Johnson. Music will be by Barb McDermott and the Holy Spirit Choir. Lector for the funeral mass will be Rita Bruch. Gift Bearers will be Stan’s children: Hannah, McKenna, and Aaron Haberl. Eucharistic Ministers will be Annette Haberl and Tom Kollasch. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Stan’s nieces: Rachel Haberl, Taylor Haberl, Breanna Haberl, and Amber Haberl. Casket Bearers will be Stan’s nephews: Cory Haberl, Nick Haberl, Josh Haberl, Brandon Haberl, Colin Haberl, Nathan Haberl, Dustin Haberl, Derek Haberl, and Jesse Schwanz. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.
Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 2:30 p.m. on Sunday where there will be a rosary at 3 p.m. and a Christian Wake Service at 5 p.m. by Holy Spirit Parish.

Stan was born on May 5, 1968 at Carroll, Iowa the son of Donald and Mary Ann (Bauer) Haberl. He spent his entire lifetime in the Maple River area and attended Carroll Community Schools graduating with the class of 1986. Stan was a self employed auto body repairman and contracted many jobs with Scranton Manufacturing. In March of 2000 he married Danielle Pierson at Hastings, Iowa; to this union were three children: Hannah, McKenna, and Aaron. Stan enjoyed fishing, fixing up vehicles, but most of all spending time with his family, especially his children.
Stan is survived by his children: Hannah Haberl, McKenna Haberl, Aaron Haberl, and their mother Dani Haberl, all of Carroll; his parents Don and Mary Ann Haberl of Maple River; his brothers: Bob (Lorraine) Haberl of Rockwell City, Doug (Joyce) Haberl of Carroll, Tom Haberl of Breda, and Scott Haberl of Moville; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Rodney (Cindy) Rattenborg of Scranton, and Lynn (Tom) Berger of Breda; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ben and Genevieve Haberl and John and Mary Bauer; his sister, Vickie Rattenborg; his brother, Randy Haberl; his sister-in-law, Kris Haberl; and his nephew, Matthew Haberl.
