Carol Riesenberg, 51 of Halbur, died unexpectedly early Sunday morning at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll with Fr. Timothy Johnson officiating. Casket Bearers will be: Kevin Vertefeuille, Robert Riesenberg, Gary Riesenberg, Randy Riesenberg, Larry Riesenberg, and Craig Hansen. Burial will be in Holy Angels Cemetery in Roselle.
Visitation will be held at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. as well as one hour prior to services on Thursday at the funeral home.

Born on April 5, 1964 at Port Townsend, Washington, Carol was the daughter of Albert and Peggy (Pritchard) Porter. She spent her childhood in Port Townsend and later graduated from Bremerton High School. Following her schooling Carol held various jobs before moving to the Carroll area in 1999.
Upon moving to Carroll, she met David Riesenberg and the couple later married on April 26, 2014. Carol was employed at Regency Park Nursing Home, New Hope Village and was currently employed with the Family Resource Center.
In her spare time Carol enjoyed her doll collection, camping, and decorating her home inside and out with the changing of seasons. Carol loved socializing with her many friends; her greatest joy was her family; especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband David Riesenberg of Halbur; her children: Kevin Vertefeuille of Boise, ID, Scott Castro of Port Orchard, WA, Erica Hudson of Des Moines, Chelsea Phipps of Carroll, and Brandon Kruzic of Carroll; her grandchildren: Dawson Warren, Raylynn Butler, and Jaxson Yeager; her siblings: Teri (Bob) Vertefeuille of Bremerton, WA, and Shannon (Phil) Feucht of Clarkston, WA; her step-father, Bernie McClelland of Montana; her step-brother, Michael McClelland of Montana; her mother-in-law, Donna Peterson of Carroll; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Larry (Carolyn) Riesenberg of Omaha, Deb (Ed) Henningsen of Omaha, Randy (Julie) Riesenberg of Breda, Diane (Alan) Brincks of Mt. Carmel, Gary (Tammy) Riesenberg of Coon Rapids, Robert (Linda) Riesenberg of Carroll, Kathy (Darin) Reid of Flossmoor, IL, and Amy Riesberg and friend Jeff Hernandez of Carroll; as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended relatives and many friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents.
