Carol Lynn Hulsing, 54, of Carroll, died Friday, October 4, 2019 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at St. John Paul II Parish – Holy Spirit Church in Carroll. Lector will be Matt Hackfort. Gift Bearers will be Jane Renze, Barb Janning, and Steve Hulsing. Eucharistic Minister will be Pat Soppe. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Shannon Neumann and Paxton Neumann. Casket Bearers will be: Scott Snyder, Scott Schwery, Craig Augustus, Dano Beidler, Chris Edward, and Tadd Haberl. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.
Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 5 p.m. on Tuesday where there will be a Christian Wake Service at 6:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be held from 10-10:45 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.

Born on June 14, 1965 at Carroll, Iowa, Carol Lynn was the daughter of Earl and Ruth (Boyer) Hulsing. She grew up in Carroll and graduated in 1983 from Kuemper Catholic High School. Carol then attended DMACC in Ankeny before moving to Ft. Worth, Texas where she resided for a brief time. She returned to Iowa where she was employed with Kragie Newell Advertising in Des Moines until her illness forced her retirement. Carol then moved back to Carroll to be closer to friends and family. She enjoyed trips to the casino, board games, her cats, Jade and Peanut and spending time with her friends and family.
Carol is survived by her siblings: Jane (Rick) Renze of Carroll, Barbara (Randy) Janning of Carroll and Steve Hulsing of Des Moines; her nieces and nephews: Jessica (David) Duff, Seth (Marla) Renze, Stephanie (Matt) Hackfort, Joe (Holly) Janning, Mitch (Samantha) Janning, Regan Hulsing, Nick Hulsing, and Gabrielle Hulsing; as well as 10 great nieces and nephews and many friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her sister in-law, Lisa Hulsing.
